Hi I’m Jessica. I love supporting women on their journey to motherhood & beyond since 2001.
I created the community and alignment-focused method of yoga called Ma Yoga in 2009, because women in their childbearing years need a different kind of yoga.
As busy nurturers of people and projects, we need our yoga to be:

After more than 18,000 women came through our Prenatal and Mom Yoga classes, and we saw how Ma Yoga changed pregnancies, postpartums and even lives, we started teaching Prenatal Yoga online – and we love it!

HOW TO SET UP FOR YOUR MA YOGA ZOOM CLASS
Doing yoga with us is so easy! You just need enough space for your mat on the floor in front of a tablet or laptop.
Place your mat with the wide side facing your laptop or tablet.
Move your mat back as far as you can, so when you are standing we can still see most of you.
If you’re in Mom Yoga and your baby’s with you, put baby on a blanket next to your mat.
In addition, I really recommend investing in yourself buying some yoga props! They are wonderful to have available.
Below are useful props to have, and substitutes:
- Place a folded yoga blanket or towel on the floor close to your camera to sit on for the beginning.
- Have two blocks, soup boxes, or a low table nearby if its hard to touch the floor with straight legs.
- If you can have a chair or back of a couch nearby, it can be useful for support in balancing poses and other kinds of standing poses.
- Not shown: a rectangular yoga bolster, wonderful for prenatal yoga and fabulous anytime you need relief from tension.
Feel free to sign on a bit early to chat – and let the teacher know where you’re at in your journey, if you have any aches and pains, and anything else you want her to know about.
Class starts with a guided meditation, and then you’ll be taken step-by-step through alignment actions in poses that will help you open, strengthen, release tension and pain and enjoy a whole new freedom in body, mind and heart!
Our teachers are highly trained in biomechanical, therapeutic alignment principles, so the practice is great for common pains such as shoulder, wrist, neck, and back.
On an even deeper level, your yoga practice will help connect you to baby, breath and body – whether baby’s inside or out. If you’re not a mom or mom-to-be, our Ma Yoga for Anyone classes are super fun.

We welcome ALL levels of experience, trimesters, and body sizes. Yes, that includes YOU! : )
We gear the class to whoever shows up – from raw beginners to yoga teachers, from pregnant to postpartum to moms who can actually take an hour to restore and revitalize.
If you’re taking an online class, don’t worry about distractions, feeds, or kids running through – you’re on mute.
We’ll say hi in the beginning and help you get set up optimally.
Our teachers are extensively trained in both prenatal and therapeutic yoga for people at every stage of life. Combined, our group of 8 senior Ma Yoga teachers have over 150 years of experience teaching women on the journey to motherhood – and far beyond.
Our classes are mom-centric because little ones tend to get a lot of quality play time. Please note: we love when dads come to any of the below classes! Dads need to nurture themselves as well, and connect to breath, body, and baby.
Prenatal Yoga: Some women start Prenatal Yoga the moment they find out they’re pregnant, others discover it in their last month. These friendly, strengthening, heart-opening drop-in classes will help you feel great, no matter where you are on your journey.
Ma Yoga® Prenatal Yoga online classes are safe for any trimester, and effective for any level of yoga experience from raw beginner through yoga teacher.
Relieve pregnancy aches and pains, prepare for labor, stay strong and find your calm center so you can enjoy this exciting time!
Mom Yoga: A super fun, friendly class taught by postpartum experts who will help you handle all the challenges of motherhood. Safely build your body back better than ever – in between feeds and changes of course. Baby can be with you or not, it’s all good.
Babies are welcome as early as your doctor gives the ok for mom to exercise, and as late as crawling or toddling. You’re on mute during class so you’re not disrupting anyone if you stop and attend. Have a blanket for baby at the top of your mat so you can freely love on baby throughout the practice. All moods welcome – yours and theirs.
If you have an hour to yourself, come join other moms at every stage of life and connect to your own big picture and inner resources. Leave feeling like you had a mini vacation, knowing you can handle anything life throws your way.
Prenatal/ Mom Yoga: A wonderful combination of Mom Yoga and Prenatal Yoga online. Whether baby’s in or out, come align with your highest, most powerful, wise, and loving “Ma” Self. Works great on Zoom, because moms don’t need to worry about baby distracting anyone – you’re on mute so you get to relax!
Ma Yoga for Anyone: This class is for anyone (men, grandmas, kids, welcome!). You will work your muscles, relieve aches and pains, discover simple alignment shifts that will shift you physically, mentally, and spiritually, and feel more energized, calm, and uplifted.
If you’re pregnant it’s recommended that you start with Prenatal Yoga so you can learn how to adjust for your growing body and baby.
Bring your aches and pains! If you’re a mom, no worries about noise or little ones distracting – you’re on mute during class.
One-on-one Yoga Therapy on Zoom: If you have aches and pains, injuries, or chronic conditions, a private session with a therapeutic yoga specialist on Zoom will support your healing, relieve aches and pains, and help you feel empowered and calm again. Don’t worry about remembering how to do it – your instructor will give you a video of your personal practice so you can stay pain-free and worry-free.
